[/i] We understand that cussing happens in real life, but there are/may be younger people on here, and we'd rather not be responsible for their corruption. xDA necessary evil. Most of these are really just guidelines, more than actual rules, but following them is required. Failure to do so will result in a negative consequence.
GENERAL
- - Don't be rude. Treat others with respect. Any problems should be brought to an admin to help. Blah de blah!
- - Each character must have their own account.
- - Absolutely NO GOD-MODDING!!! What this means is that you can not use any sort of control over another person's character without their permission. You need to let them have their own emotions, their own reactions to your character's actions, and their own words. (Basically, don't decide what their character does or says. Just worry about your own.) You can not kill them, or make them do something if the creator does not give you permission to do so.
JOINING & POSTING
- - When registering, please use your characters name. For example, if your character is "Remus John Lupin", your user-name would be something like "remuslupin" or "remusjlupin".
- - Other than your application, please do NOT post until your application has been accepted.
- - ONCE ACCEPTED, please make sure to fill out all your "Claims" and to post a plot page, so that others may plan out friendships and such with your character.
- - All posts should be done in third person. This means, no posting "I did this" unless they are speaking.
- - We have a word count minimum of 150 words per post. More is always welcome. Its really nice if you try to make sure that the person you're role-playing with has something to respond to. (This also means that if someone gives you a really nice, large post, please do NOT give them some one paragraph response. It's not fair to them.)
- - Please keep cussing to a bare minimum.
CHARACTERS
- - No cannons, if you want to make a character with a similar last name yes. (EX: Cassandra Potter) But you cannot mention any of their ancestors if they were in the books.
- - You are currently allowed to have up to five characters. However, for every two females, you must create a male, and vice versa.
- - Please try to keep house and gender ratios in mind, so that this site isn't filled with ALL Slytherin girls or ALL Gryffindor boys. Try to keep it even.
- - Each character is requested to have an avatar of their celeb claim. This should be no bigger than 150 x 200, and should definitely not stretch the board. If you need help with this, just ask an admin.
- - No "Mary-Sues". What this means, for those who don't know, is do not create the "perfect" person. Everyone has flaws and problems.
- - Reminder: Not everyone has a sob story. Not every person is going to have grown up with one parent, seen death, etc.
